CREATIVE IMAGINATIONS-Luminarte Twinkling H20: Ultimate Kit. These little watercolor gems have intense vibrant color and pearly iridescent shimmer all in a sweet little jar. Just spritz paint cake with water and apply to your projects with a brush, sponge, or other painting tool. This package contains twelve Carnival colors: ginger flower, deep coral, mandarine citrine, teal zircon, mediteranean, periwinkle, playful peony, orange peel, lemongrass, rainforest, meridian and pearl blue. Also includes one 1.5 ounce empty spritzer bottle. Imported.

    This set has quite a nice variety of colors. I also purchased the Romance set. I learned about the Twinks from artist Dion Dior who teaches classes in how to use them. The lovely mica gives them just a little twinkle and sparkle and gives your watercolors an ever so gentle twinkle or sparkle.

    Be sure to put water on them and let them sit for about 10 to 15 minutes before you start painting. These watercolors are lovely little pans, but you do use them differently than "ordinary" pans. After the water sits on each pan, the paint has a lovely creamy texture. That's when you paint it on to get the twinkly effect. If you just dip your wet brush on the dry Twink you will NOT get the full effect.

    These work for floral and landscape and typical watercolor subjects. Warning: these are so lovely, they might be addictive. I just ordered a few more colors....there is a new Oyster color that can be blended with some of the other colors to lighten them!

    First of all,it would be nice to have something in the item picture to use for size reference. These are small pot sizes of paints, about the diameter of a quarter. Having purchased a single full size "Twinkling H20" paint from another company prior to this purchase it is obvious these are trial type sizes. Second, according to the package that arrived, yes, this is the "Romance"group of paints but the picture of the item online is wrong as well as the individual paints listed in the description compared to what I received. Dilemma, do I invest in further postage to send back to a sender that obviously did not get much correct in the first place with the basic of things - the description? Think not! Wish I could give just a half star rating as they only got my address right.lol!

    This is not a comment on the item itself, but the way that Amazon packaged the item. It arrived alongside two printers in a very large box, unprotected and the package was open. Several of the containers were rattling around inside the large box, one paint container was broken and in pieces, another color is simply missing -- probably fell out the hole that was in the large outer box! You would think that such a small item would warrant some extra padding or packaging when placed alongside heavier items such as printers. Two other packages were also damaged containing other items. Frustrating!!

    I am in love, love, love with twinkling H20s. I know they have been around for a few years at least but I just recently began working with them and I adore the subtle shimmer they add to my art journal and ATCs. The only complaint I have is that they seem to melt quite easily and disappear quickly if they get too wet in the package. Also, be careful not to add too much water when you use them and tip the closed container over. They apparently STICK really good. I couldn't get one of mine re-opened as a result even after running hot water and having my manly man try to open the jar. YIPES!
